About PartyMath
PartyMath is the host's arithmetic department: how many bottles, how many pounds, how much ice, how much budget — before the doorbell rings.
Every host has hosted both parties: the one where the ice ran out at hour two, and the one where leftover wine outlived the friendship group's interest. The difference is rarely luck — it's the same three formulas caterers use, applied before shopping.
PartyMath turns guest count and party length into shopping-list numbers: drinks by container type (cans, bottles, 750mls), food by the pound with a protein-and-sides split, ice by the bag, and a budget allocated the way real party money actually goes.
We are enthusiastic home hosts, not a catering company. For weddings and large formal events, our numbers make an excellent starting conversation with a professional.
What makes PartyMath different
- Your numbers never leave your browser. Every calculator on PartyMath runs entirely on your device. We never see, store, or transmit the figures you enter — there are no accounts and no server-side processing of your inputs.
- Published methodology. Each calculator page explains the exact formula it uses and the assumptions behind it, so you can check our work or reproduce it in a spreadsheet.
- Free, forever, without a paywall. PartyMath is supported by advertising. There is no premium tier, no email gate, and no upsell.
